The internet had whipped up a frenzy once again after a racegoer at Punchestown posted a photo of the drinks menu at the festival this week.
Racing blogger Stephen R Power (Twitter: @racingblogger) posted a photo of the drinks prices at Punchestown festival yesterday, asking his followers for their "thoughts compared to British Racing?".
Many were quick to slam the seemingly high prices, with one claiming the price for a pint of Carlsberg "should be illegal".

The price list showed that Carlsberg would set buyers back €7.20 for a pint of Carlsberg, €6.80 for Guinness, and a whopping €7.50 for Rockshore cider.
One reply said €3.80 for a bottle of water is "embarrassing", while another added that "anything over €6 a pint to drink (what is probably a crap pint) out of a plastic cup is just wrong".
Others justifed the prices somewhat, with one commenter saying they paid the same prices at Cheltenham in March and that it was "par for the course now whether it’s racing, footie, rugby or concerts".
Another reply pointed to the Guinness they had had yesterday in Dublin. "It was €6.80, so very reasonable there maybe".
An English commenter added that the menu showed "bloody decent prices, see you up the bar".
