Punchestown Ladies Day racing tips as Day 4 kicks off in style
We've picked out some of the best horses to back on Day 4, Ladies Day, at Punchestown on Friday.
4.15pm - Tactical Move (9/2) is worth your tenner here. He has good form with Spillane's Tower who won earlier in the week and could be good enough here.
4.50pm - The Mare's chase will be a popular betting heat on Ladies Day and Instit (7/1) is the one I'm with here. She has been runner-up at Punchestown at the last two festivals and is hopefully reignited by the track after a poor run in Cheltenham.
5.15pm - Some horses just really like Punchestown and can underwhelm punters everywhere else. Vaucelet (10/1) could be one of those here. He's been second in this the last two year's, beaten last year by the reopposing It's On The Line. That one has had quite a lot of runs recently, so maybe the fresher Vaucelet can take advantage.
6.35pm - Lark In The Mornin (2/1) was very good when winning at Cheltenham and still looks well treated for a race like this. Joseph O'Brien trains and has already been in the winner's enclosure this week.
Elsewhere, State Man and Ballyburn look like bankers but are too short to have a sensible bet on. I fancy Predators Gold to chase Ballyburn home in second in their clash at 6.35pm. You can get odds of 7/4 for a Ballyburn/Predators Gold forecast, so for Ballyburn to win and Predators Gold to finish second. That might be worth a few quid.
