Two punters at Day 1 of the Punchestown Festival are looking on the bright side - despite losing €500 on all the wrong bets.
When asked by our reporter how their day was going, "could be better, could be better", was their jovial response.
Turns out one of the men were after betting €50 - €100 on each bet throughout the day, with none of them winners.
"I'm down €500", the man said who appeared to still be in good form despite the losses, "not one favourite has won today", he added, "50/1, 22/1, I couldn't pick me nose let alone a winner."

The two lads then burst out laughing, and replied with a resounding yes when asked if they'll be back tomorrow.
"I'll be here to try and win my money back from Cheltenham and Aintree where I lost twice as much."
Let's hope it's a better day for the two high-spirited lads tomorrow.
